TIM GROGAN: Owner

Tim Grogan hails from Dallas, Texas. He has been a percussionist with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and has played drumset with a large variety of artists ranging from Dizzy Gillespie to Aaron Tippin. Tim began engineering in the late 1970’s and opened his first professional recording studio in Los Angeles in 1990. He built Studio 515 with Rod in 2002 and continues to record, produce and engineer from this location.

ROD LEWIS: Owner

Rod Lewis began his career in music by moving to Los Angeles, California from Circleville, Ohio in 1985. He attended Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA and studied privately with John Humphrey (Carole King) and Alexis Sklarevski (CSN). He has toured and recorded with numerous artists including Dale Watson, Gary Allan and Chris Cummings. He has also enjoyed moderate success as a songwriter, penning several songs with Chris Cummings that have been released on Warner Brothers Records. Rod began engineering in 1989, and hooked up with Tim in 1993 to do their first recording project together. He built Studio 515 with Tim in 2002 and continues to record, write, produce and engineer from this location.

Bobby Holland: Engineer

Bobby Holland was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee where he graduated with a degree in The Recording Industry from Middle Tennessee State University. Bobby has played guitar, drums, french horn, trumpet and alto sax for various ensembles and orchestras throughout high school and college. Starting engineering in the mid-1990’s at the age of 15, he has brought extensive experience in Pro Tools as well as other recording mediums. Bobby always contributes creativity and energy to all the sessions at the studio. When he isn’t here, you can catch him performing live with his own band, Ethan Swim or doing some rock climbing.

John Hall: B-Room

John Hall was born and raised in Florida and started taking piano lessons at the age of four years old. His first tour with Little Johnny Taylor began in 1970. He was also recording at TMI Columbia in Memphis at this time. Since then, John has toured with the likes of John Waite, Lou Graham, The Temptations and John Berry just to name a few. He produced his first record in 1976 on Sun Records for Willis, Carlin and Quinn.John is currently residing in the Studio 515 “B” room and does the bulk of his producing, writing and recording from here.
