Studio A

Control Room

515 boasts a large, comfortable and great sounding control room, great for tracking and mixing. A Yamaha O2R96v2 is the centerpiece controlling Pro Tools|HD 2 Accel, RADAR, and Logic Pro. Other features include comfy seating at the producer’s desk from where you can run the whole show or the big red couch and chair to just sit back and listen.

Sound Studio

The tracking room at Studio 515 is one of its best attributes. The room sounds great. Achieve anything from huge drum sounds to controlled vocal ambience to lush strings. And with multiple house drum kits, guitar amps, and other goodies, you will be able to take full advantage of the space. Not pictured are huge baffles that are available to make the big room sound a bit less ambient and more controlled if needed. The DW drum kit stays set up and ready to track or bring your own drum rig.

Piano Room

This room houses our reconditioned 1935 Mason and Hamlin baby grand piano, along with many other keyboards, percussive toys, and an upright piano. More cowbell! The room provides a slightly ambient sound that is also highly suited for vocals or acoustic guitar.

Iso Rooms

Studio A has 3 isolation booths and 1 amp closet directly connected to the main recording space. All iso-booths have direct sight with each other and with the main room. They are small enough for tight, controlled sound, or can be used to record a small drum kit if a super tight and dry sound is desired.

Studio B

John Hall is in residence in our B-room at Studio 515. It features ProTools, an MPC, many great keyboards and microphones, and the great talents of John himself. This room is also available to book for small overdub and edit sessions.

Edit Room

This little edit station is a great place for editing any sized project. Featuring ProTools running on a Mac G5, there is plenty of power and the toold you need to do it right.

Nirvana Lounge

The “Nirvana Lounge” is made for doing exactly what the name implies, the lounge is complete with an extensive vinyl and CD collection, as well as a DVD player, CD player, turntable, VCR and 8 track player for your enjoyment. There is also a collection of music books both biographical and technical in nature. It has a kitchenette with a refrigerator/freezer, sink, coffee maker, and microwave. Oh, and we keep good coffee on hand. We all know how important good coffee is. Also enjoy HD cable television and HD-DVDs. There is also a small desk if you need to get some work done away from the distraction of the recording environment.
